Drawing a design, creating a pattern, building with layers in Metal Clay. Attention to detail is a must from start to finish. Creating a work of Art is the goal.

If you need special visors for close up work or have tools that you love working with in metal clay–bring them.  Otherwise all tools will be provided.

Located in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan, Kristy has been handcrafting jewelry for over 40 years.  Her designs are influenced by Nature, Native American artworks and lifestyles of Northern New Mexico and intricate and delicate artworks of Japan  Kristy’s work combines mediums using leather, glass, gemstones, fiber arts, ceramics and metal clay.  Her curiosity and imagination lead her through many happy accidents that she turns into techniques.  Kristy’s work is exhibited in galleries and on of a kind Artisan shops in New Mexico, Upper Michigan and New York.  Kristy currently owns Art Studio 70 in Laurium Michigan where she teaches classes, works on production lines and on one of a kind artworks.
