This class will give students a chance to highlight stones using both fusing and soldering techniques. Students will complete 3 sections of a necklace, one focal stone, one silver component, and one accent piece with a CZ tube, pearl, or even a complimentary gemstone. Each student will design their individual components. Techniques include fusing, soldering, setting stones, designing, using tubes as bezels and more! Teacher will have all tools needed to complete projects (to be shared)

Righteous Reticulation

Learn to depletion guild silver, then reticulate that metal to achieve a rough textured service. Highlight that metal with water castings, tube set CZ’s as well as create negative space with a large gauge wire. A hidden bail with complete the pendant. Teacher will provide tools to be shared with all students. Techniques are depletion guilding, reticulation, design, soldering, setting CZ’s, water casting

Golden Globe Ring

Create a stunning, gleaming prong set ring in this class. Students will learn the ancient art of Keum Bo while creating a ‘cab’ of gold, then use prongs to set in a bezel. Highlight the gold by using patina, to complete this out of the world ring. Techniques covered: Keum Bo, prong setting, soldering, dapping, raising low profile stones, filing, patination.

Debora Mauser is a self-taught jewelry artist working in mixed metals, stones and enamel. She  is a nationally known instructor teaching at large venues, schools and bead stores. You can find her work in magazines like Step by Step Wire; Craft, Paper, Scissors; Enameling by F&W publishing, as well as online video and classes with Craftsy and Craftcast. She is a certified Wubbers Instructor, and a former member of Nunn Design Team.  Her classes are low key but packed with important techniques designed to advance your jewelry knowledge.
