Everyone knows that I love heavy gauge wire. So in this project we are gonna take 8 gauge fine silver and create this reverse constructed riveted and hand forged heart using only colt connections. The final touch is using semi-precious rondels, wire wrapped to accent and personalize the pendant.

We will use PMC FLEX to create the tribal accent centerpiece for the cuff. While the kiln is doing its job on the clay we will texture and prep the rest of the cuff.
After the PMC accent pieces are attached to the textured interior we will surrounded this with 24 gauge fine silver sheet. Then the entire piece fitted, shaped tumbled and patina.

This project covers all of the bases for fine silver metalworking.
We will shape and forge all of the horseshoe stirrups, fuse the fine silver connector rings and rivet the entire assembly together.
I learned how to make this bracelet from an old metalsmith in Taxco, Mexico. He showed me how to make it in sterling then I made a few minor adjustments to recreate it in fine silver.
This is one of my favorite projects and my personal go-to piece of jewelry that rarely leaves my wrist.
