Learn to create this unique bracelet, published in Bead and Button Magazine, using the Ricks Loom! Students will learn basic Looming with Leather techniques and tricks, including sizing and finishing a bracelet. The kit includes all supplied needed to make the bracelet, which will be finished in class.

Special Instructions for Students: Bring Ricks Loom or Little Ricky loom (some looms will be available for class use or for purchase)
Basic tools (chain, round, and flat nose pliers, flush cutters)

Solder Stamped Earrings

This is a great introduction to both basic metalworking and soldering techniques. Copper earring and/or pendant components are fabricated and textured, and then overlaid with stamped solder. The components are then finished with a patina if desired, and finished with beads and findings.

Special Instructions for Students: Basic tools (chain nose, round nose, and flat nose pliers and flush cutters)
Soldering iron if available (we will have some soldering irons for student use)
Metal forming tools, such as a hammer, bench block, and dapping block if available (we will also have tools available for student use)

Bezel Setting with Solder

This is a great way to set a stone or glass component in a decorative setting! Students will fabricate a copper base and overlay it with textured solder. They will then learn to form a solder bezel around the component and solder it onto the base. Additional embellishment using tinned wire and patina can also be added.

Soldering iron if available (we will have some soldering irons for student use)

Elaine has been designing and creating jewelry using numerous media for 20+ years.  She has been an instructor for over 10 years.  She collaborates and teaches with Irene Reveles on a wide range of designs and techniques.  A number of Elaine’s designs have been published in several national books and periodicals.  Both Elaine and Irene are passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge with others.
